PSTD and PMAP Join Forces to Champion HumanITy and Nation-Building through Talent Development
MANILA, PHILIPPINES – In a move to unify the country’s leading voices in human capital, the Philippine Society for Talent Development (PSTD) and the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on March 25, 2026, at the Fairmont Hotel. This alliance brings together the nation’s premier authority on talent development and the leading professional organization for people management. Guided by a shared commitment to organizational excellence and nation-building, both organizations have established a framework for mutual support, knowledge exchange, and expanded member benefits.
The MOU was signed by representatives of both organizations, including PMAP President Engelbert Camasura, and PMAP Treasurer Sol Amir, and Lawrence Co, 2026 President, and Olin Lee, Operations Head, for PSTD. This partnership recognizes that the growth of the Philippine economy relies on the professional development of its people. Lawrence Co noted that the alliance serves as a clear signal that people development remains the cornerstone of a stronger Philippines. By linking PSTD’s expertise in learning and development with PMAP’s leadership in people management, the organizations aim to build a more effective ecosystem for Filipino practitioners.
The collaboration introduces several initiatives designed to provide immediate value to the members of both organizations. Under the new agreement, active members of PSTD and PMAP will now enjoy "member-rate extensions" for each other’s flagship events, including National Conventions, Annual Conferences, and regular monthly meetings such as PMAP’s GMMs and PSTD’s Tipanan sessions. Furthermore, the organizations will host a joint “GMM x Tipanan”session on April 29, 2026, to encourage networking and community-building among HR and L&D professionals across the country.
Beyond event access, the partnership focuses on deep knowledge sharing and workforce support. PSTD will lead a specialized learning session for PMAP members focused on the PSTD Talent Development Framework, sharing best practices for measurable results. Additionally, PSTD will support the PMAP National Job Fair by providing learning sessions for applicants, helping improve the skills and employability of the local workforce. These provisions and activities will be reviewed annually to ensure the partnership remains responsive to the evolving needs of the Philippine business community.
The partnership comes as PSTD marks 60 years of pioneering excellence in the Philippine L&D landscape. As the industry authority, PSTD continues to set the standard for talent development through tested frameworks and expert-led programs. Both PSTD and PMAP remain independent in their governance but stand united in their advocacy for professional growth and human capital development.
