PSTD and ICF Philippines Forge Strategic Partnership to Advance Workplace Inclusivity Across the Philippines
Mandaluyong City, Philippines | July 25, 2026 — The Philippine Society for Talent Development (PSTD) and the Philippines Chapter of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) have officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration to champion workplace inclusivity through learning, coaching, and social impact.
The agreement, signed on July 25, 2026, unites two respected professional organizations with a shared commitment to developing more inclusive, equitable, and psychologically safe workplaces across the country.
PSTD, the country's premier institution for talent development practitioners since 1965, will lead the design and facilitation of a comprehensive Workplace Inclusivity Program. Complementing the learning experience, ICF Philippines will mobilize its network of volunteer professional coaches to provide pro bono coaching sessions that will help participants translate learning into meaningful workplace action.
The collaboration reflects both organizations' belief that creating inclusive workplaces requires more than awareness. It demands intentional capability-building, continuous reflection, and practical implementation supported by coaching and peer learning.
"Our partnership with ICF Philippines demonstrates PSTD's continued commitment to equipping organizations with the competencies needed to build workplaces where every individual feels respected, valued, and empowered to contribute," said Lawrence Co, President of the Philippine Society for Talent Development. "As talent development professionals, we have the opportunity and responsibility to help shape organizational cultures where inclusion becomes part of everyday leadership and practice."
Representing ICF Philippines, Ma. Cristina P. Sioson, ACC, President of the Philippines Chapter of the International Coaching Federation, emphasized the important role of coaching in driving sustainable organizational change.
"Coaching creates the space for people to reflect, challenge assumptions, and translate learning into meaningful action. Through this partnership with PSTD, we hope to help organizations cultivate inclusive leadership behaviors that create lasting impact for individuals, teams, and the communities they serve."
The Workplace Inclusivity Program will focus on practical competencies that organizations can immediately apply, including:
Inclusive communication
Inclusive leadership behaviors
Psychological safety
Bias awareness
Coaching for inclusion
Workplace implementation planning
Designed as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the program is not intended to generate profit. Any participant or organizational fees collected will be used solely to support agreed program implementation expenses.
A joint Project Governance Committee composed of representatives from both organizations will oversee program development, quality assurance, implementation, and impact measurement throughout the partnership.
The Memorandum of Understanding will remain in effect through December 31, 2027, providing a 17-month collaboration period dedicated to developing, implementing, evaluating, and strengthening the Workplace Inclusivity Program.
As organizations continue to navigate evolving workforce expectations, PSTD and ICF Philippines hope this partnership will inspire leaders to foster workplaces where diversity is embraced, inclusion is practiced intentionally, and every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
