Description of the Talk
The theme is “Breakthroughs in Workplace Learning and
Performance Improvement.” It may not have happened all
of a sudden, but the increasing competitiveness in the
executive job market, is creating a need for executive
education that will not be satisfied with existing
university places. The globalization of this arena means
that the needs are very widely dispersed geographically. The
satisfaction of these needs, is further frustrated with the
disruptions to travel, from terrorist threats, the likes of
SARS, bird flu etc.
On the other hand, there is the increasing cost
effectiveness and availability of broadband access.
Laptops, PDA’s, SMS, MMS, the internet etc., are becoming
increasingly the way business is done. Why should it not
be also the way we conduct executive education? |
