Mr.
Butch Jimenez
is the First Vice President of PLDT’s Media and
Strategic Communications Division. He is also the
active president of both PLDT Foundation and TOYM
Foundation. In the Entertainment and Media
industry, he took the lead in managing Monster Radio -
RX93.1 (a Metro Manila-base pop music station in the
FM band), OPTIMA Digital, Inc. (a post-production house),
STAGE, Inc. (an events company), and, Soundcheck, Inc. (a
top sound reinforcement co for local and foreign concerts
and events). He sits as a board member for Film
Experts, ALINDECO, Unicapital and founded the
Philippine Forum, and Trumpets Theater Company (a
top musical group in the Philippines). He produced the
much-acclaimed films: Jose Rizal, Muru-Ami, Death Row
and In the Navel of the Sea. From 1998 to
2000, Mr. Jimenez was awarded as one of the
Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World Award (for
cultural achievement); one of the Ten Outstanding
Young Men Awardees (for multi-media achievement) and has
received a Distinguished Evangelical Achievement Award
for the films, ”Muru-ami” and “Jose Rizal, ”
Mr. Jimenez obtained his AB Economics degree from the
University of the Philippines and received a Japan
Airlines Scholarship at Sophia University, Tokyo
where he finished both Asian Economic Systems
and Japanese Management courses. Concurrently,
he writes in Philippine Star, Philippine Daily Inquirer,
Ministry Digest and manages the concept of “Weareanime.com,”
a youth-oriented website. |
