DESCRIPTION OF THE TALK
In the field of human resource development, the continued
acquisition of new skills and knowledge is one of the
essentials in becoming-and remaining-a competent
professional. Carl Rogers (1969) has said that
“the only man who is educated is the man who has learned how
to learn...how to adapt and change; the man who has realized
only the process of seeking knowledge give a basis for
security.”
Today’s
unprecedented rate of change in the business world has
prompted HRD professionals to rethink the
competencies that are required to keep them relevant,
responsive and ROI-conscious. |
