Curriculum Vitae

Ms. Loida Sagaran has over 15 years of Human Resources Management experience from local companies to MNCs  in various industries.  She is currently the Human Resource Manager of Microsoft Philippines.

A cum laude graduate of Journalism from UST and MBA from Ateneo, she started a career in media relations and corporate communications. She was the charter President of the Phil. Association of Corporate Communicators (PACCI) in 1990-1992 and was in the past involved in the Public Relations Society of the Philippines and International Association of Business Communicators. Her HR practice started in training and organizational development, and then into the various facets of human resource management.
 

Description of the Talk

 

The thinking model behind Microsoft’s adherence to value-based management revolves around the balanced scorecard approach.

 

While the financial barometers are based on revenue, asset use, and expense management, this is directly related to as results from both short and long term Marketing activities.  These activities include sales/products, partners/services, relationship, and brand/image.  In turn, processes that directly contribute to these activities are measured.  Examples of these processes are sales/distribution process, procurement process, new product developments, and community.  And the most fundamental layer is where the intangible assets lie.  This includes People, IT Infrastructure, and Environment
