Management Succession:
Statistics show that within the next ten years, about 30% of
our leaders and managers will be retiring. Now that’s a
huge challenge. A challenge not only to identify potential
qualified successors-but to be able to prepare and develop
them for these future leadership posts. From the executive
suite down, the challenge to put the right person in place
for critical key positions is becoming acute. It is our job
to prepare our leaders for bigger responsibilities and
greater roles. With this potential shortfall, we have put
succession planning at the top of our priority lists.
Management Development at Del Monte begins with our
Supervisory Development Process- a time tested program
that has been around for the last 40 years – an
effort that continuously provides the company with able and
capable individuals who have been handpicked and prepared to
eventually lead the team. Del Monte seeks to
continuously develop it’s leaders in areas not solely
focused on tasks, but most importantly on our people. At
Del Monte, our people grow our business. |
