Programs
(Chair - Ms. Rowena Jane A. Manalaysay):

Plans, implements,
coordinates, and reviews the activities of the Society for
the entire administrative year

Ensures that
activities upgrade knowledge and skills of members and
updates them of trends, issues, latest technologies and best
practices in our field
Professional Development (Head - Mr. Cerferino C. Dulay, Jr.):
-
Coordinates
diploma and certificate courses for the professional
development of HRD practitioners in collaboration with
established academic institutions
-
Maintain a
directory of training resources, e.g., trainers, training
providers, and training venues to assist T&D practitioners
in their outsourcing needs
Research & Library Services (Head - Mr. Rainer N. Leonardo):
-
Conducts
research/benchmarking studies to broaden the HRD knowledge
base of Filipino T&D practitioners
-
Updates members of
the plans, programs and activities of the Society through
the publication of newsletters, e-group postings and website
administration
Membership ( Chair - Mr. Louie John M. Banta
):
& Fellowship ( Chair - Ms. Violeta T. Sison
):

Recruits and
orients new members of the Society
-
Sets-up and
provide support to PSTD chapters
-
Maintains an
accurate and updated database of all members
-
Ensures member
loyalty and active participation to activities
-
Creates a
psychological environment for members that would foster
camaraderie, mutual support and organizational loyalty
-
Provides
opportunities for member networking, bonding, and
teambuilding during general assemblies, learning sessions,
and other PSTD events
Conventions:
-
Plans and
organizes the annual national convention, considered the
flagship event of the Society
-
Ensures the
convention to be a forum for information exchange and for
discussion of emerging issues/trends in the profession and a
vehicle for networking with fellow Filipino practitioners,
training provider and training products suppliers
Finance:
-
Ensures that the
Society has sufficient funds to operate and pursue its
various programs, projects and activities
-
Provides financial
support to various events and functions to make it
affordable to members by:
-
Inviting
sponsors/donors/advertisers
-
Organizing
fund raising activities
-
Protecting the
financial interests of the Society
International Relations: ( Chair - Mr. Turok Florentin)
-
Ensures that the
Filipino T&D practitioner has a voice and identity in
international forums, such as the ASTD, ARTDO and IFTDO
-
Organizes
delegations representing the country in these various forums
-
Maintains links
with foreign counterparts for the purpose of benchmarking
and info exchange. Foreign counterparts include:
Social Involvement: (Chair - Mr. Ryan S. Cruz)

Implements
programs and projects in response PSTD’s vision “to be a
major contributor to the development of the nation's human
capital" e.g., Voter’s Education Facilitator Training)
-
Ensures PSTD’s
corporate social responsibility by providing training,
development, and consulting services to individuals and
groups with a socially relevant causes (NGOs and other
non-profit organizations)
